Meta Pixel Setup & Conversions API Implementation
Improve missing, duplicated or unreliable Meta conversions. We connect browser Pixel events, server-side Conversions API events, Events Manager diagnostics and consent behaviour, implement the agreed fixes and verify the result.

Browser and server event path
Send one business event through two controlled routes
- 1
Customer action
A lead, purchase or sign-up creates one business event.
- 2
Browser Pixel
The browser sends the intended event and eligible parameters.
- 3
Conversions API
The server sends the same action with consent provenance and stable identity.
- 4
Meta dataset
Shared event identity supports deduplication and explainable reporting.
Evidence first

Finding: a confirmed Meta PageView request was sent before an explicit choice
The public Quick Scan recorded a request to the Meta Pixel endpoint with event name PageView in the initial-before-choice phase. The source URL and query values are removed here. This confirms the browser request; it does not prove that a purchase or lead event fired, that Conversions API sent a server event, or that deduplication works. Reject and accept were not tested by this Quick Scan.
Make Meta event data explainable
Know which browser and server events Meta is counting
Meta conversion tracking can receive the same business action through the Pixel and Conversions API. Without a shared event identity, one purchase may be counted twice; with incomplete parameters, events may arrive but be difficult to match or use.
A Meta Pixel audit follows each important journey from the website action to the browser request and, where access is agreed, the corresponding dataset and server event. Facebook conversion tracking terminology is included where teams still use the older product name.
CookieRisk separates observable browser evidence, platform diagnostics and server configuration. A green diagnostic does not replace journey testing, and a missing browser request does not prove that no server event was sent.
Pixel, CAPI or both
Meta supports multiple Conversions API integration methods and can process server events alongside Pixel events. The correct route depends on the website platform, event ownership, available data and maintenance responsibility.
Common reasons to request a review
When Meta conversion tracking cannot be trusted
- Purchases, leads or sign-ups are missing from Events Manager
- Browser and server events may count the same conversion twice
- Event IDs differ between Pixel and Conversions API events
- Values, currencies or product identifiers are missing or static
- Test Events works but the real customer journey does not
- A plugin, GTM container or server integration changed recently
- Meta requests appear before consent or remain after reject
- Nobody can explain which dataset, Pixel and server route are authoritative
What the Meta audit checks
Event mapping, browser delivery, server delivery and consent
Business events and datasets
We map leads, purchases, sign-ups and funnel actions to the intended standard or custom events and dataset. Event names are checked against the actual business meaning rather than copied from a generic template.
Meta Pixel events
We test browser events, triggers and relevant parameters through the important journeys. GTM, plugins and direct code are traced where the available evidence and access allow attribution.
Conversions API events
We review the chosen integration method, server payloads, timestamps and Events Manager feedback. Server events are not inferred from browser evidence when the platform or integration is unavailable.
Event deduplication
For redundant browser and server delivery, we check that the event name and event identifier represent the same business action. Missing or regenerated identifiers are documented against the journey.
Values and event parameters
Currency, value, content identifiers, order references and relevant event details are compared with the website or data layer. Static placeholder values remain visible as implementation risk.
Matching data and consent
We review the required matching inputs, normalization or hashing path, data minimisation and consent dependencies. Raw sensitive values are not added merely to improve a platform score.
One route from diagnosis to verified delivery
Diagnose, fix and validate Meta conversion tracking
- 01
Diagnose
We compare important journeys, Pixel requests, Conversions API evidence and Events Manager diagnostics without merging distinct evidence sources.
- 02
Fix
We implement the agreed Pixel, GTM, server-event, parameter, deduplication and consent changes with controlled publishing.
- 03
Validate
We re-test browser and server delivery, event identity, values and consent behaviour, then document the maintainable source of truth.
What you receive
A Meta event map and implementation-ready fix plan
The deliverable ties recommendations to browser evidence, server configuration or platform diagnostics. Scope, access, fee and delivery date are confirmed before work begins.
Map from business actions to Meta standard or custom events
Browser Pixel evidence for the conversion journeys tested
Server event and Events Manager observations when access is included
Deduplication review for paired browser and server events
Review of values, currency, content and event identifiers
Confirmed faults separated from possible issues and unavailable evidence
Prioritised implementation notes for marketing and development teams
Optional implementation and verification re-test after changes

More than a Meta problem?
Review Meta together with the wider measurement stack
If Google Ads, GA4, Pinterest, GTM or the CMP also appears inconsistent, the broader website tracking audit gives one prioritised view across platforms and consent states.

Frequently asked questions
Meta Pixel and Conversions API questions
What is Meta conversion tracking?
Meta conversion tracking records actions such as page views, leads, sign-ups and purchases for advertising measurement and optimisation. Events can reach Meta through the browser Pixel, Conversions API or other supported sources.
Do you offer a Meta Pixel setup service or audit?
Yes. We can audit an existing Meta Pixel or implement a new setup. We test the important journeys, event names, triggers and parameters, then compare browser evidence with Events Manager and the configuration available in scope.
Do we need both Meta Pixel and Conversions API?
Not every setup needs the same architecture. Meta can process server and browser events together, but the value depends on the platform, data availability, consent design and maintenance capability. We recommend a route after reviewing those constraints.
How do Pixel and CAPI event deduplication work?
When the same event is sent through browser and server routes, both should carry a matching event name and shared event identifier for that business action. We test how those identifiers are created, persisted and passed.
Can you fix low event match quality?
We can diagnose missing or malformed eligible parameters and the normalization or hashing route. We do not collect unnecessary personal data or promise a particular score; data minimisation, consent and business policy remain part of the design.
Can you review Meta tracking before consent?
Yes. Browser Pixel requests can be compared before choice, after reject and after accept. Server events require their own consent provenance and evidence; they are not assumed from the browser result.
What access is needed?
We can start with the public website and key journeys. A full audit may need read access to Events Manager, GTM, the website platform, server integration and CMP. Implementation requires the relevant edit and publishing permissions.
What happens after I request a Meta tracking review?
We review the website, dataset, important events and visible symptoms, then propose the most useful audit or implementation scope and required access before any changes begin.
Improve your Meta conversion tracking
Share the website, important events and the symptoms visible in Ads Manager or Events Manager. A CookieRisk scan link is useful but not required.
Audit an existing Pixel and CAPI setup or request implementation.
