Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 18, 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember preferences, maintain sessions, and analyse usage. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB.
2. Cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to function. They include authentication session cookies and CSRF protection tokens. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| session_token | Authentication session | Session / 30 days |
| csrf_token | Cross-site request forgery protection | Session |
| theme | Light/dark mode preference | 1 year |
Analytics cookies
We currently do not use third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics). If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy and request consent before setting any non-essential cookies.
Marketing / advertising cookies
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. We do not track you across other websites and we do not serve targeted ads.
3. Cookies set during scans
When you use the scanning feature, our server-side scanner loads target websites in an isolated Chromium browser instance. Any cookies set by the scanned website are captured and analysed in that isolated environment. These cookies are never set on your browser or device — they only exist in the scan report data.
4. Third-party services
The following third-party services may set cookies when you interact with them:
- Mollie — Payment processing. Mollie may set cookies during the checkout flow. See Mollie’s Cookie Policy.
5. Managing cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using authenticated features. Most browsers allow you to:
- View all cookies stored by a website
- Delete cookies for specific sites or all sites
- Block cookies from specific domains
- Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set
6. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if we change which cookies we use. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification.
